For this concert, we are presenting a regal extravaganza of choral and orchestral music by Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The professional lives of both composers were inextricably linked with the imperial court of the Holy Roman Empire – hence the imperial title!
November’s concert presents Mozart’s majestic Coronation Mass, Haydn’s rousing Te Deum in C, and his delightful motet Insanae et vanae curae.
And last, but definitely not least, we also include a rendition of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 20 by pianist Nico de Villiers.
So don’t spend Saturday at The Crown, crown your evening with sounds imperial instead!
